To achieve the best end result and depending on the object or surface to be restored, we use sandblasting, rough blasting or fine blasting (also known as air-gumming). In general, we use recycled granules that are available in various sizes depending on the type of assignment.
Sand blasting or rough blasting consists of stripping surfaces by spraying dry abrasive materials under a properly set blasting pressure. With rough blasting, it is the intention to achieve a just sufficient surface roughness to guarantee a better adhesion of the required primers or finishing layer.
Air gumming or fine blasting is a more refined surface treatment technique, derived from traditional sand blasting. The treatment consists of spraying natural granules for more expensive and delicate work: the aim here is to renovate dirty, damaged, but more fragile objects or materials with the necessary precision and softness.
Whatever technique we use, we attach great importance to use the appropriate abrasives – type, grain shape and size – and to monitor the right level of blasting pressure as well as an exact and constant dosage of abrasive on the surface to be cleaned.
After blasting, we can also carry out any further finishing you want: protection coat, painting, waxing, patinating… You describe us the desired finish, we provide the best possible solution.
